You’re great at your job. You’ve built the career, led the teams, hit every target. On paper, everything looks fine.

But somewhere along the way, the role that once energized you started draining you. You’re performing - but you’re not thriving. And you can’t exactly tell your board, your CEO, or your team how you really feel.

If any of that lands, this Substack is for you.

My posts are for senior IT leaders who carry the weight of big roles, big responsibilities, and the slow realization that something needs to change.

Sometimes that change is career-shaped: burnout that doesn’t look like burnout, a leadership role that no longer fits, the human cost of AI-era transformation in your team.

Sometimes it’s deeper: identity, meaning, who you’ve become while everyone around you thinks you’re fine.

Whatever the trigger, the core is the same. You’re trying to find (or rebuild) yourself again - without losing what you’ve built.

Here you’ll find no hype, no “quick fixes.” Instead:

  • Reflections from real life, real work, real leadership

  • Gentle truths about identity, endings, and new beginnings

  • Simple practices for a calmer nervous system, clearer boundaries, and rebuilt self-trust

  • Small steps you can take when everything feels like too much

I’m not here to push you. I’m here to walk beside you.

Who I am

I’m Agnes Molnar, a strategic advisor & coach for senior IT leaders navigating burnout, career transitions, and the human side of AI-era transformation.

Before this work, I spent 25 years inside IT as a developer, architect, then consultant. I’ve led global enterprise projects for Fortune 500 companies. I’ve been a Microsoft MVP since 2008 and a Microsoft Regional Director since 2020. I founded Search Explained, the consultancy I still run today.

But none of that protected me.

I know what it feels like to be competent on the outside while quietly running on empty and dying within. I know how it feels to slowly forget your own needs, your own voice, who you are. I know how it feels to realize something needs to change - and to be paralyzed anyway.

It took me years. Long forest walks, sleepless nights, hard conversations, deep inner work. I moved countries. I divorced. I rebuilt my life and rediscovered what I actually want.

That journey is why I do this work.

If you want support

If you’re in a transition and want a steady companion - someone who can help you rebuild self-trust, find clarity, and move forward on your own terms - there are two ways we can work together:

  • 1:1 coaching through my Four Stages framework (Realize → Explore → Claim → Embody): Clarity Sprint (intensive diagnostic), Leadership Reset (3 months), or Deep Dive (6 months)

  • Human × AI advisory and workshops for teams driving AI adoption — leadership, knowledge management, internal communications, and change management.

Or just stay here. Read. Reply. Take what’s useful.

Take a slow breath.

One step at a time.

You are not broken. You are becoming.
